Winter 2027 Teen Driver Education Program

Enroll your teen in Drive Oregon's comprehensive Winter 2027 Driver Education course, fully compliant with the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) Teen Driving Program requirements.

• Classroom instruction covering Oregon traffic laws, road signs, and safe driving habits
• Behind-the-wheel lessons with a certified instructor, including wet and winter driving conditions
• Certificate of completion accepted by Oregon DMV

Course fee: $750

ODOT Requirements

• Teens must be 15-17 years old to qualify for the ODOT teen program

• They must complete the course before their 18th birthday.

• They cannot get their driver's license before they complete the course

• Students must participate in 30 hours of classroom time

• Students must participate in 6 hours of drive time (Behind the Wheel time slots/dates)

• Students must participate in 6 hours of observation time (Behind the Wheel time slots/dates)

• Parent involvement is required, including a parent meeting and documented home driving practice.

Company Policies

• Teens must have their permit by the night of orientation

• Due to strict ODOT requirements, attendance is very important, and any missed sessions must be made up. Missed/rescheduled class fee is $150. Missed/reschedule BTW fee is $150. If your teen misses the first or second class, they will not be able to participate in their first BTW (you will be charged a fee).

• Cancellation fee before orientation $100. The cancellation fee before the start of the course is $150.

• The missed parent orientation fee is $150

• If your teen starts the program and does not finish the course, you will be charged $210

• If your teen is late to class they will need to make up the missed time

• If you are late to your BTW lesson your lesson will need to be rescheduled. You will be charged $150 for reschedulin
